• Welcome to DOOR!
Discovering Opportunities for Outreach and Reflection (DOOR) is a faith-based network of six cities that provides opportunities for service, learning and leadership development within the urban context. We highlight the strengths of our cities, as well as the needs. We believe this is best accomplished through collaboration, mutuality and partnership.

Contact the national office for more information on all our programs: call 303-295-3667 or email marie@doornetwork.org.

A few years ago while taking a class on evangelism I was introduced to the notion of “Bounded” and “Centered” groups. These were two very different ways of understanding salvation.

One of my favorite sayings in Scripture comes from Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” It just oozes with stability and predictability. In a world where change is the only certainty, these words are like an oasis of calm.

For some, laying aside differences that divide means admitting that deeply held convictions may be wrong, misguided or no longer helpful. For others it means giving up theological comfort. I do not know of many people who go to church to engage in theological debate with their pew-mates.
