    • Welcome to DOOR!

Discovering Opportunities for Outreach and Reflection (DOOR) is a faith-based network of six cities that provides opportunities for service, learning and leadership development within the urban context. We highlight the strengths of our cities, as well as the needs. We believe this is best accomplished through collaboration, mutuality and partnership.

DOOR Welcomes Chambers as New Staff Member

DOOR is pleased to announce the hiring of Justin Chambers.
Justin will be working ¾ time for the National office as the National Recruitment Associate, giving leadership to our recruitment and promotional activities, and ¼ with the DOOR Atlanta program.
Justin first came to DOOR as a Discover participant as part of an alternative spring break trip to Atlanta. This trip served as his introduction to DOOR and the beginning of his career in service work.
Justin is a Grand Rapids, MI native who spent the past two years in Atlanta as a Dweller, our partnered program with the Young Adult Volunteers program of PCUSA.  During this time, he worked with Mercy Community Church sharing in ministry with both those that live in the streets and in the prison system.  Justin attended Western Michigan University where he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in social work.
Justin is looking forward to helping DOOR broaden its participant base, that more people might see the face of God in the city.
